Quilt Encounter 2024 is well on the way with another great line-up of wonderful tutors, covering many different techniques in the creative patchwork and quilting and textile art.Hosted at the Stamford Grand Hotel in Glenelg, with its beach ambience, Jetty Rd for shops and food plus the fabulous conference area for the classrooms, it is shaping u to be a fabulous retreat.
Im thrilled to invited to teach along with a great line-up of tutors including, Sue Spargo from Ohio, USA here for the first time – the “Queen” of wool embroidery with so many techniques and textures, colours and designs to share. Other Australian and interstate tutors have a great range of workshops on offer too: Kathy Doughty (NSW) with Organic Applique and Diamond Magic, Jemima Flendt (WA) with Graffiti Quilt, Conquer the Curve and Confetti cushion designs, Jen Kingwell (VIC) Caution! Curves Ahead, Applique Adventure and Shadow Moon – all hand stitching workshops, and Lynne Wilson – By Annie Bag expert and also teaching Strip Teaser – Zero Waste projects.
